The throne room—and the Queen—remain untouched as Yota fails to take the guardian witch, Yalya, down. Leigh-Mary hatches a plan, but it involves subjecting themselves once again to Yalya’s mental onslaught. They re-enter the witch’s mental plane, a cave designed to reduce victims to mindless brutes driven only by desire.
